Living a Joyful Life In a Pandemic

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.

Joy: surely the world didn’t give it to us, surely the world can’t take it away… or can it? Here we are, in a pandemic for ongoing months. COVID-19 is real with real life situations stemming from it. So, how can be possess joy? From the news, social injustices, scandals, and so on, many of us are facing a personal pandemic. I read somewhere when faced with life, it’s not what you answer to, but how you answer to it. Below are a few ways to live a joyful life despite a pandemic.

Everyday is an opportunity in it. Look forward to what the day brings.
The people in your life should add value. If it doesn’t, edit accordingly.
None of this have this all together. Take each day as a way to discover you all over again.
It’s like the serenity prayer. Accept the things you can change. Acknowledge what we cannot change.
Life will feel like it is too much to bear at times. Breathe. Know that you will get through this.
Over consuming anything is unhealthy. Do what brings you joy. Unplug from the noise. Notice how better you will feel. Create time blocks to monitor your intake of social media and news.

Here are a few life hacks. All of us are figuring it out. How are you finding joy in the pandemic? Leave a comment that can help the #GloUpGirl community.

Until next time friends.
