Your New Life Will Cost You Your Old One

This next chapter of your life may be uncomfortable. The life as you see it currently is not really how you should see it. Why? Life is better than how you can imagine it to be. Many of us, me included have at least one point or another thought we weren’t worthy of having a fulfilling life. The things and people from the past were counterfeits of what God has for us. I’m speaking from experience. There have been SO many times where I have held on to people and situations longer than I should have. One of those examples was the season of encountering an abusive relationship in Shattering the Glasshouse. Seasons may only last for a season and others may last longer. Yet, we still need to honor them while we have them. When it’s time to part ways, bow out gracefully.

Remember Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This season will require you to “Go BIG or go home.” The familiar is a beautiful place of comfort. However, it’s a home of complacency.
Going BIG is where those that things you’re afraid of having are closer than you think.

Out with the old

Objects [BLESSINGS] may appear closer than you think.

Plan. Pray. Prepare to WIN! This is your winning season. Let the dead leaves fall as they may. People may go, plans may not be as intended, it might get uncomfortable, but your new life is a major deal. Don’t shrink.

During these last two months of 2017, reflect on what really matters. You making it to this point is a victory. There’s still time to open that business. A new relationship can happen. You can meet someone with influence that can change your life supernaturally.

Speak in a place of victory.
Someone needs what you have to offer. Think about when you were a child. You had so many dreams and did not care about how you were going to get there. Adulting causes us to “think realistically” but really, that could be a destiny blocker. (If you know you not blessed with an angelic voice and can’t sing, don’t but if you KNOW that you have a gift be bold enough to give it a shot).  Just because someone else slept on you doesn’t mean you need to come to an agreement with them. Wake up. Live, laugh, love and be determined now more than ever to pursue those things you put on the shelf.

There are more people for you than there are against you. This was just a friendly reminder.

This is a TEST. This is only a test.

Here are some scriptures that may encourage you:

•The Old Way Has to Go: Ephesians 4:17-32 MSG
• Your Joy in the Lord is Your Strength: Nehemiah 8:10
• Renewed Strength: Isaiah 40:31 NIV but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
• Forget the Former Things: Isaiah 43:18-19 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
• Faith is a prerequisite to believing big: Hebrews 11:1 NIV Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
